My extensive educational and life experience contribute to me being the passionate and effective tutor I am today. I have a Bachelor of Philosophy and a Bachelor of Education. I am a licensed history teacher for high school students; however, I have worked with children from two years old to college age and every age in between. I have experience in tutoring in reading and math; however, I am most passionate about tutoring in the humanities. I do find that no matter what subject we work on, it is a fulfilling experience. I can help your child succeed in a wide variety of subjects, so let's get started today! In addition to my academic and teaching experience, I have also lived abroad in Chile and Spain. When teaching Spanish, I know that it is important to connect classroom information with the world around you. I have experience working with Chilean undergraduates and teaching them English as their second language. Regardless of what subject we are working on, I ensure that my students build confidence and strategies to become successful learners. I am looking forward to helping your student learn and become successful. When I am not teaching, you can find me reading, hiking, and cooking.
