I attended the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities and recently graduated. My tutoring experience includes working with NCAA student athletes in various content areas. I am now living in Castle Rock, Colorado, and I can provide tutoring in many different subjects, including reading, writing, literature, American history, psychology, anatomy, biology, physiology, and related AP- and IB-level courses. As a tutor, I know that each student is unique and has a preferential learning style. To accommodate each student's learning needs, my approach is to make adaptations in the learning plan and my teaching techniques. To further help students, I also try to detect those things that tend to motivate them to learn and do well in the subject at hand. When I am not tutoring, I like to read, write fiction, hike, and train dogs. I also enjoy the martial arts, especially Brazilian jiu-jitsu.
