Experience
I have worked with children since I was young and have always loved helping them learn, watching them suddenly grasp a concept I have been explaining, and seeing them grow confident in their academic abilities. My experience includes: tutoring my developmentally delayed siblings, teaching computer classes, working as a camp counselor with kids from age 8 to 16, student teaching in junior high and high school and substitute teaching for all grade levels including special education classes. I have tutored all ages from Kindergarten through college in a variety of subjects. I homeschool my own children (6 and 2.5), and I also give private piano and voice lessons to beginner students. I am an excellent test taker and can help your child prepare for tests and learn how to take them successfully. Most recently I took the Praxis II and received the ETS Recognition of Excellence Award.
