Experience
I am a professional tutor and full-time researcher at the Anschutz Medical Campus. I have worked with students in subjects ranging from spoken English language to college-level physics to the fundamentals of soccer for over 12 years. I have tutored corporately with the Huntington Learning Center and privately in students' homes. For those interested in standardized test preparation: my SAT scores (old test version) were 1490 of 1600; I recently retook the ACT and SAT II's in Chemistry and Physics for Huntington and scored a 35/36, 800, and 800, respectively. My GRE exams returned scores (Math 167 and Verbal 170) in the top 96th percentile, overall. My MCAT scores 12-12-14 (old MCAT). I enjoy tutoring students preparing for these tests, as I realize how important a strong performance on standardized tests is for college entrance. * I do offer a discount for enlisted military families :) Just ask! I enjoy being a tutor because I love the challenge of uncovering how each new student best learns. Everyone can do well in class, it's just a matter of discovering how the information needs to be presented. Learning is a fun process with me!
