I have 30 years experience as a working aerospace engineer and teaching and tutoring from middle school through college level. I have had success in conveying complex mathematical and scientific concepts to students in simple, easy to understand terms. I enjoy teaching, especially the moments when a student experiences the "Oh, I see!" moment. My current engineering assignment is operating the Odyssey spacecraft in orbit around Mars. I participated in Mars to Earth communication during the landing of the Curiosity Mars Rover. I find conveying my experiences in engineering is exciting and motivating to students in mathematics, physics and introductory engineering courses.
